CanArms specializes in refinishing new and surplus firearms. We have been a Canadian certified Cerakote applicator since August 2017 but we do much more!
What can we do with Cerakote? From a single solid colour to multicam and everything in between, we are your one stop shop. We have an in house vinyl printer that allows us to print and cut custom patterns on demand. Battleworn patterns for a been there and done that look are also popular. Our large laboratory oven allows us to cure large parts. If you can dream it, we can do it.
Parkerizing (or phosphating) was a common practice during WWII. If you would like a firearm refinished to as close as possible to its original condition, look no further. We have spent hundreds of hours researching the various types of "original" finishes used on military firearms. Because that was not enough for us, we took multiple trips to specific museums such as the Springfield Armory National Historic Site to view and document original firearms.
As is common during wartime, technology changed depending on what was available and for continual improvement. Simply applying a Zinc our Manganese finish to your firearm does not mean it is "as it was". We will treat your piece of history with the honour it deserves.
Bluing? Yep! We do that as well. Bluing is not our preferred method of finishing a firearm but in order to keep true to history and to repair some firearms, we saw it as a necessary addition to our services.
